After selling Carrier products for over 30 years, Warren Rothmann recognized a need to supply “niche” products to his customers. These products were items that Carrier and its competition did not offer or did not represent well. Recognizing this void in the industry, Warren set off to fill this void and offered many smaller niche-type products along with his great engineering expertise to correctly apply those products. Within his first year, growth allowed Warren’s son, Doug (also from Carrier) to join him. Together, they actively pursued markets where their engineering expertise helped their customers design and install technical products such as indoor pool dehumidifiers, humidifiers, energy recovery products and water source and geothermal heat pumps. Their customers knew that the product would operate as designed because of W. W. Rothmann Co., Inc.’s involvement. A product was never sold without the necessary value-added service to be certain the product would perform as designed.
