Company History

W. W. Rothmann was founded in 1988 by Warren Rothmann, who previously was Vice President of Sales for Connecticut Air Conditioning Company (ConnAir), which distributed Carrier Corporation products in the state. At the same time, his son Doug was a sales engineer in the commercial sales department at Distributor Corporation of New England, a Carrier distributor in Malden, MA.

A respected HVAC professional with more than 30 years of industry experience, Warren recognized an opportunity to provide an array of niche-like products that neither Carrier nor its primary competitors offered. Encouraged by his almost immediate success, he convinced Doug to leave the Boston area and join him. Together, they quickly built W. W. Rothmann into one of the premier providers of HVAC and related equipment in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.

An engineer by training, Warren had long viewed himself as a value-added resource for his customers, bringing knowledge and perspective to the HVAC planning and design process. From the inception of W. W. Rothmann, the company sought to provide valuable expertise and advice to the clients it served – a tradition that continues to the present day.
